In het Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest worden veel buitenschoolse activiteiten georganiseerd. Ze vinden plaats tijdens schoolvakanties, woensdagnamiddag, naschoolse uren, in het weekend... De activiteiten zijn talrijk en gevarieerd: sport, culturele en artistieke activiteiten, taalcursussen, wetenschappelijke vorming, bijles, …

Daarnaast hebben de gemeenschapscentra een site met verschillende activiteiten gericht naar de Oekraïense gemeenschap: https://www.n22.brussels/oekraine
De Vlaamse Gemeenschapscommissie draagt bij tot het realiseren van een vrijetijdsaanbod zowel gedurende het jaar alsook tijdens de vakantieperiode (juli en augustus). Let wel, het aanbod gaat doorgaans door in het Nederlands!
Dit doen zij door zelf een aanbod te ontwikkelen of door verenigingen te ondersteunen die een aanbod realiseren. Indien je op zoek bent naar een specifiek aanbod (sport, spel, cultuur, …), kan je hiervoor terecht op het volgende telefoonnummer (02 563 05 88) of je kan je je vraag stellen via cultuur.jeugdsport@vgc.be. De medewerkers van de VGC zullen je dan zo goed mogelijke verder helpen. De vragen kunnen gesteld worden in het Nederlands, Frans en Engels. Vragen in het Oekraïens en Russisch kunnen ook worden beantwoord. Hiervoor werkt men samen met een vertaaldienst.
Graag willen we ook nog even de aandacht vestigen op de vrijetijdspas.

Verschillende Brussels bibliotheken beschikken over een anderstalige collectie waaronder ook boeken in het Oekraïens en het Russisch. Meer info kan je vinden via de volgende link.

On 24 February 2022, the whole world changed for every Ukrainian... Two women's destinies. Two friends. Poet and artist. For one - month of occupation, for another - a month under shelling and bombing... It so happened that fleeing the war, they found refuge in a wonderful, peaceful European country. When everything seems to be fine, but one of these days you are looking for news from Ukraine and it is impossible to forget even for a moment, even in beautiful Brussels. You have to do something. Do at least what you can ... Create paintings, poems... This is how this tandem was born - two creative women from Chernihiv, two kindred spirits inspiring each other

Support Ukraine: screening of the Ukrainian Shorts. Block 2
Join us for our new round of Ukrainian short films at Mendes Wood DM!
All proceeds will be directed to Freefilmers, an artist collective originated in Mariupol.
How Freefilmers takes action:
– Support for underground artists, queer activists and neurodivergent people affected by war on a horizontal basis of mutual aid.
– Support not only for the artist community, but their surrounding people, hospitals and volunteer centres.
– Transport of humanitarian aid, essentials, medical supplies and equipment to the regions most affected by war and taking refugees back to safer places.
Gallery Mendes Wood will open its doors in the heart of Sablon at 20:00 with five more beautiful shorts and beers!

Circulation presents the landscape and cityscape of Kyiv captured in a perpetual loop from the viewpoint of Kyiv’s ring railway, representing the gaze in permanent displacement, flight or purposeless wandering. The train’s circular movement suggests a society in constant transition without destination; a transition from the Communist ‘never’ into the Capitalist ‘always,’ revealing the city’s decrepit post-industrial areas, its newly-built affluent housing estates, its crumbling pieces of social infrastructure and parts of its ‘Westernised’ city centre.

THE SECRET THE GIRL AND THE BOY (2017)

The Girl and the Boy play in a garden. They are left alone there and they do not have any obligations to behave in a certain way. This gives them the freedom to create their own ways of interaction with the world. During such an interaction, adult social constructs inter-twist into weird children folklore and shift into an abstract sphere. There are secrets and various modes of being in the world of the Girl and the Boy.

Spectacle: Un 24 février, à l'aube
9 Ukrainian women talk about their home and their journey
The project "Un 24 février, à l'aube" is the result of the collaboration of nine Ukrainian women who have been refugees in Belgium for several months and a Tatar actress who has been living in Belgium for five years, Regina, who wanted to contribute to the reception of these women in Brussels.
They met during theatre workshops. Convinced by the interest and the richness of what they had to say, they decided to create a show based on the work done during these workshops.
This project is supported by the FEAS (Fédération des Employeurs des Arts de la Scène), the Théâtre Marni , Le Rideau , the Théâtre des Martyrs , the Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles, the Théâtre Royal du Parc and the Théâtre Les Tanneurs
