A highly contagious viral infection

Measles is six times more contagious than flu!

Children under the age of 10 have the highest risk of contracting the disease.

30% of those infected develop more serious complications which can lead to hospitalization.

People who are not immunised against measles, people with a weakened immune system, pregnant women and children under 12 months have the highest risk of developing complications from this disease.

Symptoms

- Red blotchy rash
- Fever
- Cough
- Cold
- Conjunctivitis

All vaccinated, all protected!
Vaccination with 2 doses of the MMR (measles-mumps-rubella) vaccine is the only effective protection against the disease. Check your vaccination status and that of your family. If it is incomplete or uncertain, contact your general practitioner.

In case of symptoms

  • Contact your general practitioner BEFORE you go to the consultation
  • Wear a face mask when you go to the consultation
  • Avoid contact with other people, especially those who have not been vaccinated or who are vulnerable (pregnant women, infants, etc.)
  • Do not resume your activities before your doctor has cleared you to do so
