INFORMATION FOR CITIZENS OF UKRAINE WHO HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM MILITARY REGISTRATION DUE TO LEAVING UKRAINE FOR MORE THAN THREE MONTHS

The Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Belgium provides additional clarification regarding the military registration of Ukrainian citizens who were removed from military registration due to leaving Ukraine for more than three months.

According to the fifth paragraph of subparagraph 10-1 of paragraph 1 of the Rules for Military Registration of Conscripts, Military-Obligated Individuals, and Reservists, outlined in Appendix 2 to the Procedure for the Organization and Maintenance of Military Registration of Conscripts, Military-Obligated Individuals, and Reservists, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Resolution No. 1487 dated December 30, 2022 (hereinafter - the Rules), Ukrainian citizens who were removed from military registration due to leaving Ukraine for more than three months are required to register for military service within 30 days of the enactment of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Resolution No. 563 dated May 16, 2024.

However, failure to fulfill this obligation within the timeframe specified by legal regulations does not deprive these Ukrainian citizens of their right to subsequently register for military service by one of the methods specified in the sixth and seventh paragraphs of subparagraph 10-1 of paragraph 1 of the Rules.

In this regard, we inform you that the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Belgium continues to accept applications from individuals who were removed from military registration due to leaving Ukraine for more than three months.

Applications can be submitted in two ways:

• Personally, along with the information specified in Appendix 4 to the Procedure and a copy of the first page of the Ukrainian passport for traveling abroad;

• By postal mail, along with the information specified in Appendix 4 to the Procedure and a copy of the first page of the Ukrainian passport for traveling abroad.
